What? The Zehrs are Moving Again?!

I'm sure most of you that read this blog already know but, yes, we are moving again. However, this time we aren't staying in Vincennes. Back in the fall Aaron was told by his uncle about a position at Eureka Bible Church in Eureka, Illinois. We prayed about it and decided to go ahead and apply. In November we had two separate interviews, first with the search committee and then with their elder board. It was at the second interview that we were beginning to feel the Lord's leading. The board voted for us to come and candidate at the church for a weekend and to have the church vote. In January we went to candidate as the final step in the process. It went well and Aaron and I felt that was where God wanted us as long as the vote went alright. The pastor called the next week and said there was a 100% vote for Aaron to come! We are looking forward to starting a new ministry there and seeing how the Lord uses us. His official title is associate pastor of youth and outreach. Eureka also happens to be close to Aaron's family which is a bonus! :) We are so excited about living close to family.
It is a bitter-sweet time for us, however. It is so hard thinking about leaving our church family here in Vincennes. We've been here almost 5 years. They are sad we are leaving but very supportive and happy for us. Sunday, March 11 they had a surprise party for us during a carry-in after church. We felt so special and loved.


We had the carry-in because it was baptism Sunday. Aaron had the honor of baptizing 6 teens! I'm so glad he got to do that before we left. Such a special moment for a youth pastor and his wife. :) We are moving next week on Saturday the 31st. We've been doing lots of packing and spending time with church friends. Can't believe it's almost time to go. We are buying a house in Eureka so I'll post some pictures when we get settled!
