I have really enjoyed working on this project and can't wait to have it all finished. I just love taking something old and making it new and exciting!

The Past Couple Weeks
There has been quite a lot of action for Aaron and I so far this summer...and plenty more is yet to come! Here are some highlights...
The first weekend in June we took a church trip to a Cardinals/Rockies game. A family in our church has an uncle/nephew that plays for the Rockies (Clint Barmes) so we wanted to take a group to watch him play in St. Louis. The Cards were beat pretty bad but we had a good time anyway.
This past weekend we took at trip to Marion to see our friend, Justin Reed, get married. Aaron was suitemates with him for three years. It was good to see college friends again and IWU's campus. For those of you alumni, you wouldn't believe the changes that are happening! We explored the inside of the new chapel that is currently being built. The doors weren't locked so we took a quick look around. It's pretty huge!
Last week our church started a project in the children's area. We are pretty much renovating the whole area. We called it the dungeon because that's what it was! We have only done painting so far and I have done much of the work. I guess you could say I'm "heading it up". I love what paint will do to a wall! Two of the walls are cement block so we painted them to look like bricks.
Here is a before picture of the first wall I started working on.
Here is that same wall at the beginning of the painting process.

Lexi is doing well. She is growing and just hilarious to watch! We have so much fun with her. She has been officially outside for about two weeks now. Up until now we had been putting her in the cage (outside) at night. We are going to try leaving her out now and see how she does. We hope nothing eats her! During the day she stays close to home and hasn't run off yet! We hope that behavior continues. : ) As a side note...we will not be bringing her when we visit family so if you want to meet her you will have to visit us!
