Last week Aaron and I took 4 teens to the Momentum Youth Conference in Cedarville, Ohio put on by the Grace Brethren Denomination. We had a great time! I couldn't tell you all the things that happened or it would be a ridiculously long blog! The theme was Pursuit and the theme verse was 2 Timothy 2:22, "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Here were the topics covered:
*Doing more than what's required/Doing righteous things even though it's hard
*Sexual purity
*Reaching out to the needy
*Sharing your faith with unbelievers
*Making God the center of your life
*Not letting your feelings control your relationship with God
*Believing that God is your complete satisfier
*Committing to pursuing God
We all came away challenged and committed to intentionally pursue God!
